A Place to Call Home

About Carlsbad, NM

Public Library StatueThe city operates the Carlsbad Public Library and Carlsbad Museum and Art Center both centrally located in the downtown area.

The San Jose and North Mesa Senior Centers provide educational, recreational, cultural, and other services to the over-40 population in the City of Carlsbad. Both are great places to get together with friends, meet new people, join in the planned activities, or just have a relaxing day away from home.

If you’re ready to be a bit more active, the Retired Senior and Volunteer Program (RSVP) is an outlet for the retired worker to maintain active productive lives through volunteer work.

Our regional hospital, Carlsbad Medical Center, provides a variety of medical services in cooperation with the Pecos Valley Physician Group. The group employs more than 200 medical, clinical, and support staff to serve the healthcare needs of Carlsbad and Eddy County.
