We started searching for a place that offered everything we enjoyed doing. Carlsbad offered what both of us were looking for. The river walk around the lake is beautiful and offers the opportunity to see something different every time you go for a walk or bike ride. The lake is stocked with trout in the winter and catfish in the summer. We can play the par three along the lake or the regulation course in the hills over looking the river.
We would recommend retirement in Carlsbad to any individual looking for an active lifestyle without the costs normally found in a community with so much to offer!
